Our results from the weekend…

Mixed A lost 0-5 at home to South Wigston

“Those who were out and about at the weekend would know Saturday was so cold, especially the rain! However, the mixed A didn’t let it affect them as they played South Wigston at home.

This week we shall start with some of the team highlights! The first one goes to our step-in captain, Marissa Bole, who after nearly getting hit a few times by one of our own team mates (Tom Pedler), played amazingly – even if she did fall over once or twice! Then we have the father and son duo, Tom and Gary Pedler, who both within minutes got hit by the ball – not to mention a missed short corner by Gary. Then there was the opposition, who somehow managed to aerial the ball into the Welland River! But, 10 minutes later our very own Ryan Dreyer did the same, however it landed on the field next to us.

Overall Harborough played stunningly, with amazing interceptions and passes. We had many chances to score, but Wigston had a good goalie – not as good as our goalie Jake who saved many, many goals.

The final score was 5-0 to South Wigston. A huge thank you to Gary and Tom Pedler, Rob Smith, Rob Davies and Ryan Dreyer for helping us out.

From all the Mixed A have a good Christmas! See you all in the new year!”

Badgers lost 1-3 away to Long Buckby

Goal: Owen Arthur

“A big thank you to all parents who watched in the worst weather we have ever played in, your support always helps!

We had a hard game this week against Long Buckby, the opposition played a stronger squad and kept the pressure on us all first half. At half time we were 2-0 down, but we came out strong in and Owen scored another great goal for us. Unfortunately, the opposition soon came back and scored another. It ended 3-1, but we had a few good attempts at their goal and every one played well. Well done all!”

Women’s O35 lost 0-4 at home to Solihull Blossomfield – in the EH Masters Championships

On behalf of everyone at MHHC, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
