Goals: Finn Ingram-Hawkes (2)
“Another great game for us this week, we played Long Buckby who always field a strong squad, but with help from a few guest players this week, we held our own and won the game 2-1.
Our two goals came from Finn Ingram-Hawkes, his second goal was an amazing hit on a fast moving ball into the D, which he connected with and scored (well done!). Megan Astbury did a great job again in goal, stopping some fast shots in from Long Buckby. Luca Dare kept the pressure on, with Powys-Smith and Emily Doe, who were all game to keep their midfield working; while the girls up-front, atalie Baumler, May Townsley and Kiera Watson ran round their defence. Thomas Ainsworth, Stephen Parr and Ruby Howe covered the back this week with help from Emma and Ben Sleeman.
My job this week was to cause penalty flicks and short corners again for our team, like most weeks, using my feet to stop the ball! Well played all.”
Sunday:
U10 Girls played in a tournament at home.
“A gorgeous morning for an U10 tournament at Welland Park Academy!
Excellent work-rate from the Harborough players. Fantastic team spirit and some impressive individual skill on show and improvement seen across the games; well done all.”
U12s & U14s played in a mixed tournament away in Rugby.
“MHHC had a great tournament in Rugby this morning with the U12s & U14s.
Both teams played really well, with good communication, teamwork, skills and lots of fun! Well done!”
