All suggestions to amend the Constitution must be with a member of the committee by Monday 3rd June 2019. We will be electing the committee for the next year. Any club member (or parent of a junior member) is eligible to stand for any position. You can find ‘MHHC Club Volunteer Roles’ available under the ‘Information & Training’ menu of the club website under “MHHC Rules & Policies” – www.mhhockey.co.uk/policies.

Thank you to those that have already expressed an interest in helping to play a small part in running the club next year. Please get in touch with any committee member if you are interested in helping out, whether it is for one of the existing roles, availability to help out occasionally for well defined jobs (e.g. at tournaments), or a role that you think will help the club continue to move forward.

The AGM is expected to take between 30 minutes and an hour—I appreciate interest and numbers attending from the club have been low in recent years, however this is your chance to have an input into the future of the club and gain an update on our long term planning and strategy. Please spare an hour of your evening to join in and ensure your views are heard.

Proposed changes to the Constitution:

    t

  1. t

Improve consistency of wording around how Juniors are defined.

    t

  2. t

  3. t

Updating ‘Categories of Membership’ to better reflect what they represent, with fees to match their use.

    t

Whether you are a parent of a Junior or an established Senior member, this is your opportunity to have your say about how the club is run and what you want from the club. Any questions in advance can be sent to the Secretary or Chair by email ([email protected] or [email protected]).

If you wish to vote by proxy, you MUST inform the Secretary of who will be voting on your behalf.

Yours sincerely,

Nick Riley

MHHC Chairman
