Development Camps and Academy Centres are the first steps to playing county hockey and being part of the England Hockey Player Pathway, offering progression for talented and committed players to regional and national age-group squads.


Leicestershire Development Camps

Sunday 8th & 15th September 2019, at Ratcliffe College from 10:00-12:00

Cost £5 for a single session, £8 for both sessions

Northamptonshire Academy Centre

Northamptonshire hockey are looking for players to join their Academy Centre at Oundle School this coming season. Academy Centres are the entry point for the England Hockey Player Pathway, offering progression for talented and committed players to regional and national age-group squads.

The AC offers a high quality learning environment for players to develop and grow into fully rounded hockey stars of the future. The coaching environment is centred on England Hockey’s Talent Development Framework and “End in Mind” – effectively preparing players for performance environments.

Players take part in 6–8 training sessions and four competition days through the season. Dates for 2019/20 are published here.

Northamptonshire have age-group teams from U13 to U17, for both boys and girls, and are looking for players of all ages, especially U14 and up.

Interested players should attend two assessment days on 15 & 22 September 2019 at Oundle School. Detailed timings and online booking information can be found here.
