Results – 19th October
There was a mixed set of results for our teams on Saturday, but plenty of quality hockey on display…
Women’s 1 won 2-1 away to Loughborough Town Womens 3s
Goals: Grace Clarke (2)
Players of the Match: Fiona Ginn & Grace Clarke
“Women’s 1s travelled to Loughborough for an early start. Throughout the first half the 1s kept the pressure on and had many chances, not converting unfortunately.
Luckily, near the end of the second half Grace Clarke tapped the ball in from a short corner, one of many shorts! Grace then scored another bringing the score to 2-0 and getting her Player of the Match! Loughborough scored right at the end, so the overall score was 2-1.”

Women’s 2 lost 0-2 at home to Loughborough Carillon Ladies

“The W2 lost 2-0 this morning in what we knew would be a tough match. The girls worked hard, creating great passages of play to ensure the match was the 2s best performance of the new season. Onwards and upwards!”
Men’s 1 won 13-0 at home to University of Warwick 3
Goals: Jordan Allen (3), Tom Williams (2), Ryan Harrison (2), Jon Cooper (2), Tom Whitehouse, Johnny Cordingley, Thomas Parry, Nick Hall
Men’s 2 lost 1-2 away to University of Warwick 4
Goal: Josh Osborne
Players of the Match: Nick Riley & Matti Hodgson
Men’s 3 lost 0-6 away to Rugby & East Warwickshire 7
Player of the Match: Vinnie Graziano
“The Men’s 3s played Rugby & East Warwickshire 7s, where they suffered a loss of 0-6 due to only having a team of 10 men.
Harborough battled hard but didn’t have the energy to keep out the quick, young forwards. The keeper, Vinnie Graziano was awarded Player of the Match because of some superb saves.”
Mixed A lost 3-4 at home to Leicester Wolves
Goals: Imogen March, Toby Fletcher & Tom Pedler
