Results from the weekend…

Women’s 1 won 5-1 at home to Loughborough Town Women’s 3rd

Goals: Sally Trappitt-Jones (2), Evie Hunter, Hattie Hammond & Ella Partridge

Player of the Match: Hattie Hammond

“It was cold. We had 11 players, they had about 20. Harborough dominated throughout the game, we had all the possession and were passing cleanly round every player. We had many shots on target but their keeper was having a cracking game. Finally Sally Trappitt-Jones found the backboard, 1-0 to the good guys. We were unlucky with another few chances and a disallowed beauty of a goal from Fran Houseman. Score at half-time was 1-0.

The second half was just as good as the goals came flying. Goals from: Evie Hunter, Ella Partridge, Hattie Hammond and another from Sally put us 5-0 in front. We wouldn’t be true to ourselves if we didn’t concede one goal. Final score 5-1.

Player of the Match: Hattie Hammond – who finally did a bit of running”
