Market Harborough Mixed Team

It is with sadness that we are announcing that we will no longer be fielding a Mixed team in the LMHA League on Saturdays. This is where MHHC began, way back in 1949, and has a special place in our hearts.

Mixed Hockey at MHHC

MHHC has a long history of playing Mixed hockey in Leicestershire. We are very proud of our Mixed team heritage and retaining our routes to where it all began.

Market Harborough, then Symingtons, joined the Leicestershire Mixed Hockey League in its inaugural season in 1949, and was one of only four clubs to have played every season since.

At its peak, Harborough had four mixed teams (Mixed A to D) playing in various divisions of the LMHA League, and the teams have seen many successful seasons throughout their history.

In recent years, the Mixed A team won the Leicestershire Mixed Hockey League Cup in 2012/13, and the Plate the following year. Boosted by this success the team won promotion two years in a row, to play in the first division of the Leicestershire Mixed Hockey League in 2018/19.

An exciting season in 2019/20 led to the team ending on a high by winning the Junior Plate in October 2020 (pictured below).
