Welcome to Market Harborough Hockey Club
We are a friendly and fun club offering competitive and social hockey for all ages and abilities.
We are always looking for new players—whether you are an experienced player, a complete beginner, a honed veteran, or you haven’t played since you were at school—all ages and abilities are welcome at MHHC!

We are one of the few clubs in Leicestershire to offer all forms of hockey and have teams competing in men’s, women’s, mixed and junior leagues around Leicestershire and the East Midlands; as well as masters and junior age-group teams competing in the England Hockey Championships.
MHHC is a great place to play hockey, hone your skills, meet new friends and improve your fitness.

During the season we train every week at Robert Smyth Academy in Market Harborough, with senior social hockey and additional training sessions throughout the Summer, and senior indoor hockey all year round. Our junior sessions run from September through to May.
If you’d like to find out more about MHHC, or if you are thinking about giving hockey a go, pop down to one of our training sessions or get in touch via email for further details.
We look forward to seeing you soon,
Chair, Market Harborough Hockey Club
MHHC is accredited with the England Hockey ClubMark
During the first few months of 2019, a dedicated team of MHHC volunteers have been working hard behind the scenes to attain the ClubMark accreditation—a huge thank you to all involved!
This is a great achievement and recognises that MHHC has adopted processes to help our Club run efficiently and effectively, with good practices in place to ensure that we can deliver quality hockey in a sustainable and vibrant club environment.
What is Clubmark
Clubmark is the universally acknowledged cross sport accreditation scheme for community sports Clubs.
It stands for:
- Higher standards of welfare, equity, coaching and management in community sports clubs.
- Making sure the nation’s sports club infrastructure is safer, stronger and more successful.
- Ensuring clubs provide the right environment to encourage all its members to enjoy sport and stay involved throughout their lives.
An accredited Club is recognised as a safe, rewarding and fulfilling place for participants of all ages as well as helping parents and carers know that they’re choosing the right Club for their young people.
