On Saturday 4 June we took two teams along to Derby Arena to play indoor hockey in the Derby Grand Slam organised by Indoor Hockey UK.
It was a great day out, with a number of Guest players representing MHHC in both teams. While the bikes circled overhead in the Velodrome, our U18 Boys and Men's teams played in their tournaments.
Unfortunately for the Boys, their Goalkeeper was injured two minutes into the first game 😢, but the team played well and scored a number of goals drawing in one match but losing in the others. Matti Hodgson was awarded Player of the Tournament by the organisers for his defensive skills.
The Men's team came second in their tournament with 3 wins, 2 draw and 1 loss. 🥈
A great experience for both teams, well played all!
